Dr Mike Corbett

Gastrointestinal Specialist Dr Mike Corbett completed his
undergraduate training at the University of Otago, New Zealand in 1990.
He undertook his advanced training in internal medicine in Wellington,
Dunedin and Auckland Hospitals culminating in attaining his fellowship
of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2001. This included
his final year of fellowship training in hepatology in the New Zealand
Liver Transplant Unit in Auckland.
He migrated to Australia in 2001 and subsequently took up an appointment
as VMO Gastroenterologist at The Canberra Hospital. He entered private
practice with GastrotrACT in 2002. He is developing the latest technological
advance in gastroenterology – capsule endoscopy, which specifically
examines the small intestine, an area previously beyond the reach of
endoscopists.
His other interests include liver diseases, endoscopy sedation and colorectal
cancer screening.
