Dr Andrew Thomson MRCP (UK), FRACP
Gastro-intestinal specialist
Dr Thomson graduated from the University of Melbourne and The Royal Melbourne
Hospital in 1985. After a period overseas, he returned to Australia to
train in Gastroenterology at the Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital, in Perth,
the Austin Repatriation Medical Centre, Melbourne, the Victorian Liver
Transplant Unit, also in Melbourne and finally at the Princess Alexandria
Hospital in Brisbane.
Following, he worked as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Princess
Alexandria Hospital, before undertaking research in clinical nutrition
in Toronto, Canada. His clinical interests include gastroscopy, colonoscopy
and clinical nutrition.
Dr Andrew Thomson is a gastroenterologist in private practice in Canberra,
who also has a hospital appointment at The Canberra Hospital as a consultant
in the Department of Gastroenterology.
